Someone recently suggested I make a list of some of my favorite books, or authors that have influenced my teaching and faith.  Here are a few that I believe will accomplish just that. 

The first suggested reading is the One Year Bible, there really is no excuse, this should always be the first step in every believer's life-read the Bible cover to cover through in one year.  It only takes 15 minutes a day.  This easy to read One Year Bible is so simple anyone can pick it up and get right to it.

Next, I suggested in no particular order, Boundaries by Townsend & Cloud.  If you find yourself being manipulated by family, friends, co-workers, children with addictions, this book is for you. 

For those of you who desire to learn the Bible cover to cover and have someone teach you every verse line by line.., none better then Dr. J. Vernon McGee!  These commentaries follow along with the daily broadcast of the Through the Bible radio program on WBBN.

The Passion of the Christ by John Piper Answer's the most important question anyone could ever ask and that is "Why was Christ crucified?"  The Biblical answer's John Piper identifies the work of the Cross in the believer's life.

Forgiveness is the key to a healed life, The Hiding Place is a must read for anyone who has struggled with forgiving as Christ forgave you!  I warn you.. this true story will challenge any bitterness you may have towards anyone who has hurt you in your life!

Experiencing God-This book, workbook will teach you how to do a daily devotion, develop a prayer life and most of all experiencing a loving relationship with your heavenly Father!  It is also the text the lost coin cafe will be using this fall.

Have you ever read the Bible cover to cover?  This 1 year Bible removes any and all excuses for not making this a priority in your life!

This best-selling daily reading Bible divides the text into 365 sections, so you can read through the entire Bible in one year in as little as 15 minutes a day!  According to Psalm 1 a person is blessed for meditating on God's Word day and night... this is a powerful tool to accomplish just that.

Boundaries, by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend, addresses specific issues that confront today's Christians. Issues such as:
-Living a life out of control
-Having people take advantage of us
-Having trouble saying no
-Being disappointed with God because of unanswered prayers
and Many more vital issues.

A complete reference edition of the 60-volume Thru the Bible commentary series, this five-volume set is an excellent choice if you need a complete Bible commentary in durable hardcover bindings. It includes Dr. McGee's insightful bible study of each book of the Bible with in-depth, paragraph-by-paragraph discussions of key verses and passages.

The most important questions anyone can ask are: Why was Jesus Christ crucified? Why did he suffer so much? What has this to do with me? Finally, who sent him to his death? The answer to the last question is that God did. Jesus was God’ s Son. The suffering was unsurpassed, but the whole message of the Bible leads to this answer.
